The Arts & Culture Committee is responsible for fostering partnerships with creatives and cultural organizations to encourage a unique and welcoming city center. This objective is coupled with the coordination of various events, such as the Downtown Walkabout, with a focus on generating tourism in the downtown area and cultivating a connection between the San Marcos River and our historic city center. These meetings take place at the Mermaid Society SMTX Headquarters, located at their Wonder World Cave & Adventure Park office space at 1000 Prospect St.
